It is truly said that health is wealth, regardless of what we achieve in life if we don’t focus on our health then we suffer in the long term of life. With the advancement in technology, sitting jobs, hectic schedules, unhealthy food habits, more screen time, lesser physical activities, and stressful living, our health is deteriorating at a faster pace and as results, there are more chances of anxiety attacks, heart attacks, mental illness, depression, obesity, and followed by many other major diseases. Our life is moving fast but we need to take out time for our health too, every else thing is secondary if we are in good shape and health then we are prone to lesser risks in life. Let’s check out for few ways to remain fit and healthy.
- Exercise- One of the important components for staying in shape and healthy is including daily exercise in lifestyle. Yet we neglect this aspect. Even if it’s for fifteen minutes, we must follow exercise in our daily routine be it cardio, cycling, swimming, yoga, dance, pushups, and squats. Make a timetable and begin with the basic exercises. Exercise helps not only in staying in shape but also reduces the probability of many diseases. It helps in reducing the chances of risk of heart diseases, helps one in reducing their weight, makes one more productive, and guess what the more you sweat the more glowing skin you get. So, start your day with the exercise and see results in longer aspects.

1.Food habits- Food habits have an impact on our body as well as our immune system. Our body functions accordingly to what we eat or putting inside our body. Obesity is the biggest problem in many countries due to unhealthy eating. People are more inclined towards junk and oily food which results not only in obesity but also being the major cause of high blood pressure, cholesterol, and many other diseases. One should eat more fruits and vegetables and should avoid food which contains a lot of sugar, fats, oils, etc. Junk food may seem tempting and delicious but it costs a lot to our health in the future. Healthy food contains fibers, nutrients that help in leading a strong immune system. Just to satisfy our taste buds, we should not eat unhealthy food. One must include fiber-rich fruits, vegetables, grains, nuts, smoothies in their daily diet to stay healthy.

3. Getting enough sleep- Today’s youth mostly ignore this factor. Getting less sleep due to hectic work and social life is a new norm. Also, it’s quite normal nowadays to sleep during late hours and waking up late too. One should sleep seven to eight hours daily. Lack of sleep not only affects our physical health but also causes damage to our mental health. One should sleep early as well as should form the habit of waking up early, most of the billionaires and successful people wake up early as morning hours help in more concentration towards work. Good sleep not only results in reducing obesity and stress but also rejuvenates our body and mood and helps us to stay active throughout the day.

4. Digital detox- No one talks about it but it’s important to discuss as spending more time on screen is common in this era. In a day we forget to track our time and according to many studies we spend endless time on phones, laptops, and other gadgets. Social media is causing depression, anxiety, stress, obesity, eye problems, and many other harmful effects on our body as well as on our mind. Set limits and once in a week try to disconnect from social media, technology and spend more time in nature. It is not possible to completely leave social media and other gadgets but one should try to reduce the consumption limit as it’s causing loss of memory, anger issues, etc., and leading to comparison, inferiority complex in people. Start with the small habits, try not to use your phone during sleep time, eating time, family time, and develop a hobby that keeps you busy and productive.

5. Regular check-ups- In order to stay fit and healthy, have a track of your health and go for regular check-ups to avoid any other major diseases. Regular check-ups not only reduce the chances of getting sick but also improve one’s lifespan, health, and help in reducing complicated and life-threatening issues, and also monitors our health.

By following the above-mentioned ways, the chances of falling prey to sickness and disabilities will reduce and will also help one in staying fit and healthy in the future. So, practice small steps before it’s too late because health is the most important wealth, everything can be gained again but once health is gone, we will be left with only regrets
